CGI programming, software/database design, system/network administration.
I'm interested in object-oriented technologies (operating systems, databases, programming languages), distributed environments, very high level languages, user-friendly interfaces - design, programming, administration.
I write my own programs and learn other programs as a hobby. Some of these projects grew up to professional level.
My current biggest interest is Python programming language (python.org). I am one of the maintainers of SQLObject (sqlobject.org) - an object-relational mapper for Python.
Also I use and take part in development of a number of Web-related frameworks and libraries: Quixote (http://www.mems-exchange.org/software/quixote/), CheetahTemplate (CheetahTemplate.org), Z Object Publishing Environment (www.zope.org) (free, open source, object-oriented, component-based portable web application platform written in Python). I am a member of Russian Python and Zope User Group; I maintain our site zope.net.ru. I had been writing and maintaining mod_pcgi2 - an Apache module for Zope/PCGI but I abandoned the module after Zope Corporation had stopped supporting PCGI protocol in Zope.
I was the primary maintainer for PostgreSQL locale-relative patches; they were incorporated into the main source tree at the version 6.5.
